How this FBA calculator works
Profit per unit equals selling price minus the referral fee (a percentage of the price, typically 15%), the FBA fulfillment fee (based on size and weight), any advertising spend you allocate per unit, and your product cost. The result tells you what you actually keep before storage fees and returns.
Amazon's fees are notoriously hard to pin down: the referral percentage varies by category, and fulfillment fees depend on product dimensions. Before pricing a product, open Seller Central's fee preview for that ASIN and use the real numbers here — small errors multiply across every unit you sell.
Pricing tips for sellers
- Target at least 30% margin after all fees for a healthy business.
- Account for inbound shipping to Amazon and storage fees too.
- Test price elasticity — a small increase often beats a small cost cut.
